How do I clean windows and other surfaces with glass cleaner?

Normally maintained windows can be cleaned quickly with this cleaner: spray it onto the surfaces to be cleaned and wipe with a dry cloth for the best result.

If there is heavy dirt or sand and scratchy contamination, you should pre-clean:
Remove coarse dirt and dust from the surface to be cleaned. This is particularly gentle if you can rinse with plenty of water. You should avoid vigorous wiping to prevent scratches.
